Update Oct 2024: KeyWhere acquired - no longer developing new features, to be sunsetted
In October 2024, IRE, the parent company of KeyWhere, announced its acquisition by Reapit. Following this announcement, some KeyWhere customers have reported difficulties in receiving timely communication. Leaked internal communications hint at an uncertain future for KeyWhere, suggesting that Reapit has no plans to continue its development and may soon phase out the software altogether.
“Reapit, backed by technology-focused private equity firm Accel-KKR, today announced the acquisition of Inspect Real Estate (IRE), a leading provider of digital solutions for property professionals. The move bolsters Reapit’s suite of products and further cements Reapit’s ethos to be the number one technology provider for residential estate and letting agencies[…]
The acquisition also builds on the existing partnership between Reapit and IRE in the UK. IRE is a long-standing Reapit AppMarket partner, with apps such as RegisterOnline – its diary and enquiry management solution that allows customers to automate virtually every aspect of their calendar, and KeyWhere – its real-time key tracking solution that saves time wasted chasing missing keys.
Why switch to Keyhive?

Built with the property professional in mind, our simple and secure solution eliminates the cost and hassle associated with lost and misplaced keys, freeing up staff to focus on the more important matters of revenue generation and positive client relations.

We know how annoying it can be to move from one system to another, so rest assured our dedicated team is always on hand to help, and our solution is quick and easy to set up.

Revolutionary key management system
We have been using Keyhive for half a year now and it is fantastic. I have used many different key systems when visiting other estate agents and never found any to be ‘stand out’. Keyhive simplifies the whole process, allowing users to track keys online and automatically remind contractors when they should be returned, as well as much more. I would highly recommend this product!
How to import my data into KeyHive
Via Integrations
Keyhive offers integrations with a whole host of CRM systems and can pull data directly from these systems as the source of truth. This makes life easier and avoids extra work maintaining two repositories of data. To discover if Keyhive has an integration with your CRM system, please get in touch and we can assist.
Manually
If there is no option to integrate with your CRM we can still import your data into Keyhive. To do this, you simply need to use our easy-to-use CSV importers found throughout our admin portal. Using these tools, we can import your property, contact and key number data. If you’re struggling, reach out to our team who will be happy to help.
What about my KeyWhere hardware?
One of the unique aspects of KeyWhere’s offering are its custom key lockers. These key lockers can hold 120 keys each with each hook able to light up independently. Keyhive has been built to support any type of key storage solution. Migrating KeyWhere customers are welcome to continue using the KeyWhere lockers for storage, or they can migrate to more popular and compact solutions.
Do I own the panel and can I resell it if needed? Yes and Yes. While we would love to have you as clients well into the future, we understand that situations change and you may need to sell the panel on to someone else who might need it. The only thing to note is that the panels will only work effectively with the KeyWhere software and thus the buyer must agree to the subscription. Any warranty period remaining is also non-transferrable.
